Mother of three daughters, grandmother and great grandmother, last survivor of five siblings, Jo was independent and courageous, fond of quirky jokes, a source of funny anecdotes, keeping a sense of humour despite many trials, pain and sickness.
 
She was a devoted member of the New Life church at Durrington, drawing on her spiritual life for strength and endurance, and a firm believer in the power of prayer.
